I have started several blogs and do have a non-gaming blog as well. Ever since I started playing WoW in early 2005 I wanted to have a WoW related blog. So this is it.
I am guessing this will mostly be rants about ‘the’ game and of course my character. I’ve been playing a druid since I started with WoW in February 2005. I knew long before the game came out that I wanted to be a druid. I chose the druid because the class’ abilities match those of my pen&paper character. I never regretted my choice.
At first I played a resto druid on a PvE server, later when our guild went down in heaps of drama and the first wave of raiding mergers, a few friends – in-game and out-of-game – switched to a fresh PvP server and started over. Again I chose a druid to play, this time leveling as feral, since it was shortly before the druid class review and I already knew feral would be getting much better.
We founded our own guild according to our own rules. That guild still exists and has weathered several crisis in it’s 2+ years of existence. Right now we are once more at high membership (for us that’s over 30 accounts in the guild). Many of the founding members are still or again active players in the guild. For one and a half years I was guildmaster of the guild, now a very good friend has inherited the burden and is doing a great job of it. I still manage the guild’s homepage and other tools.
I’ve taken several longer breaks from playing, lasting weeks or as this summer months with little or no play at all. At the moment I am playing way too much I would say, logging in every day and playing probably around 20+ hours a week.
I don’t raid, mostly I do 5-man instances (sometimes on heroic mode), at the moment quite a bit of pvp, I am just starting out with arena and enjoy twinking a bit. Though I level most of the twinks to get additional professions rather than be able to play multiple classes, after all my character can fill any role with merely a quick trip to Moonglade and the bank to get the fitting outfit.
I have filled all the roles: from tank, to pure damage, hybrid and healer. While I have tanked nearly all the 70 5-mans and enjoy playing the kitty for soloplay and hybrid support immensely, at the moment I have the most fun being a tree druid in groups – yes even in the battlegrounds and of course in the arena. I am just learning to survive in PvP and I am the proud owner of 2 (incredible two!) Honor bought items so far
So that’s me in the game.
